The two Oku-Iya Vine Bridges (Kazurabashi) are constructed with thick vines for passage across the valley. Historically, vines were used by the fleeing Heike clan so they could be easily cut, just in case enemies pursued. The “male bridge” and “female bridge” are just a short walk apart, and surrounded by deep, natural beauty.
